Monitoring and Evaluation is an important element of Project Management as it enables one to track project performance and re-design if necessary. In order to ensure that AGHA’s project is still on track, two officers from Independent Development Fund: Birungi Ruth, the Programs Results Manager and Mambo Kassim, the Programs Support Manager visited the Kampala and Dokolo offices of AGHA at the beginning of this quarter.
During their visit, they tested for the organization’s mandate – if it is still in line with what we provided while applying for the fund, some of the achievements of the organization as a result of the project as well as those against the project. They also assessed the project activity implementation and financial management. Here, they interacted with some of the survivors of Gender Based Violence who have benefited from this project to ensure that they accessed justice and are now living in harmony as stated in AGHA’s narrative reports. They also interacted with service providers checking for their benefit in the project. By the end of the visit, the officers found the project relevant and approved AGHA for this quarter’s fund.
